Privacy policy
What we collect when you order or get in touch, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 12 October 2026.
Who’s responsible
Bakerooney is the trading name of Lauren Rooney, a sole trader based in North Belfast, Northern Ireland. Lauren Rooney is responsible for the personal details you give us. For anything about your data, email hello@bakerooney.com.
What we collect and why
When you order
Your name, email, phone number, what you ordered, and your delivery address if you choose delivery. We use them to make your order, get it to you, and contact you about it. We need them to carry out the order you’ve asked for.
If you tell us about an allergy
Allergy details are health information, so we only keep them because you’ve chosen to tell us, and only use them to make your order safely.
When you pay
Mollie takes your payment on its own secure page. We get a confirmation and a payment reference, never your card details.
When you get in touch
Your name, email, phone number if you give it, and your message, so we can reply.
Emails about new bakes
Only if you tick the box at checkout. Every email has a way to stop them, or just tell us.
Your basket and cookies
Your basket is saved in your own browser, so it’s still there if you come back. It isn’t sent to us until you check out. We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies or analytics, so there’s nothing to accept. Mollie’s payment page has its own privacy and cookie policies.
How long we keep it
- Orders: six years, because tax rules say we must keep sales records.
- Allergy notes: deleted once your order has been handed over.
- Messages: 12 months after we last hear from you.
- Emails about new bakes: until you ask us to stop.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, delete them, or stop us using them, and you can change your mind about anything you agreed to. Email hello@bakerooney.com and we’ll reply within a month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
