“We” and “us” below means Bakerooney. “You” means the person placing the order.
Ordering
We bake a new menu each week, in small batches, so bakes can sell out. Orders for each week close at 8pm on Thursday, UK time.
Your order is confirmed once your payment goes through and we email your confirmation. That’s when our agreement with you begins. If a bake sells out between you checking out and paying, or we can’t take your order for another reason, we’ll tell you and refund you in full.
Prices and paying
All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the full price of the bakes. Delivery costs £3.50; collection is free. You’ll see the total, including any delivery charge, before you pay.
You pay in full when you order, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payments are handled by Mollie on its secure payment page, so your card details never reach us and we never store them.
Collection and delivery
You choose collection or delivery, and Friday or Saturday, when you order.
Collection
Collection is free, from our kitchen in North Belfast: Friday 6pm–7pm or Saturday 9am–12pm. The address is above, and in your confirmation email. If you can’t make your time, tell us as soon as you can and we’ll try to arrange another.
Delivery
We deliver to BT14 and BT15 postcodes only, for £3.50: Friday 7pm–8pm or Saturday 12pm–2pm. Someone needs to be in to take the bakes. If no one is, we’ll ring the number you gave us, and if we still can’t hand them over, you can collect them instead.
Our bakes are fresh and won’t keep, so we can’t refund bakes that aren’t collected or can’t be delivered because no one was in.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
Before Thursday 8pm
You can change or cancel your order for a full refund until orders close at 8pm on Thursday. Email or ring us.
After Thursday 8pm
Your bakes are being made for you, so we can’t cancel or refund an order after the cut-off. The usual 14-day right to cancel online orders doesn’t apply to food that won’t keep.
If something’s wrong
If a bake arrives damaged, isn’t what you ordered, or isn’t right, tell us the same day if you can, with a photo, and we’ll replace it or refund you. This doesn’t affect your legal rights.
If we have to cancel
If we can’t bake your order, for example through illness, we’ll tell you as soon as we can and refund you in full.
How refunds are paid
Refunds go back to the card or wallet you paid with, through Mollie. Your bank may take a few days to show them.
Allergens
Everything is made in a home kitchen that handles wheat, eggs, milk, soya and nuts, so we can’t promise any bake is free from them. Each bake lists what it contains, and the allergens page has them all. If you have an allergy, talk to us before you order.
Everything else
We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that’s a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not taking reasonable care. Nothing here limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland. If there’s a dispute, you can bring it in the courts of Northern Ireland, or where you live in the UK.
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page when you placed it. How we handle your details is in our privacy policy.
